The theme is what makes us human, and how much would you sacrifice to live in a perfect world? The author thinks it is your feelings that make you human. I wouldn’t sacrifice my feelings because I like being loved by my parents. I also like to have choices like what clothes I wear and everything I have should be what I like.
The book was awesome. It was exciting and it makes you want to keep reading, like when you try to figure out what elsewhere is. Also, it is exciting when Jonas and the Giver make the plan. The book makes you wonder if there ever will be a perfect society. This book was so good I would rate it 5 out of 5. I would recommend this to someone who likes books about the future.
